Renae is the founder of Sirian Star and Hooves of Hope, bringing together extensive experience across counselling, disability services, equine-assisted support, and complex case management. Passionate about empowering individuals and families, she specialises in trauma-informed practice, neurodiversity, psychosocial disability, and supporting people with complex needs to navigate challenges, build resilience, and achieve meaningful outcomes.
Known for her compassionate, person-centred approach, Renae works alongside participants to identify strengths, build capacity, and connect with the right supports to achieve their goals. Through a combination of evidence-based practice, innovative thinking, and the unique benefits of equine-assisted services, she creates safe, supportive environments where people can heal, grow, and thrive.
Trained in Dressage, competed in the show ring, driven race horses and track worked gallopers, Renae is the epitome of eat, sleep, breathe horses.

Senior Care Coordinator • Support Coordinator •
Sue is a highly experienced Support and Service Coordinator who brings a wealth of knowledge from across the disability, community services, health, and education sectors. With a genuine passion for helping people achieve their goals, Sue works alongside participants and families to navigate the NDIS with confidence, connect with the right supports, and create practical pathways towards greater independence, wellbeing, and quality of life.
Known for her warm, approachable nature and strong advocacy skills, Sue builds meaningful relationships based on trust, respect, and understanding. Her person-centred approach, combined with extensive experience managing complex supports and coordinating multidisciplinary services, ensures participants receive the guidance, encouragement, and practical support they need to achieve the best possible outcomes.

Social Worker • Equine-Assisted Therapist •
Lucy is a qualified Social Worker and Counsellor with over 17 years of experience supporting children, young people, adults, and families through trauma, mental health challenges, and life transitions. She holds a Bachelor of Social Work, a Bachelor of Behavioural Psychology, and is a registered member of the Australian Association of Social Workers. Lucy was a keen Cross Country / Eventing competitor in the UK and has combined her passions joining the Hooves of Hope team.
With a special interest in trauma and neurodivergence, including Autism and ADHD, Lucy uses a strengths-based, trauma-informed approach to help clients develop emotional regulation, resilience, confidence, and practical coping strategies. She also supports parents and caregivers through co-regulation techniques and behavioural support.
Lucy provides compassionate support for trauma, anxiety, depression, grief and loss, parenting challenges, school-related difficulties, self-esteem, relationship concerns, stress, burnout, and women's mental health, helping individuals and families heal, grow, and thrive. 🌟

Animal Welfare Officer • Equine-Assisted Learning Practitioner • Support Worker
Mel brings a rare combination of clinical knowledge, disability support experience, and extensive hands-on horse industry expertise to Sirian Star and Hooves of Hope. As an Enrolled Nurse, Equine Coach, and experienced support professional, she has spent years helping people and horses thrive, building a reputation for her calm approach, practical skills, and genuine compassion. Whether she is supporting participants, coaching riders, assisting with equine-assisted programs, or working alongside families and allied health professionals, Mel's focus is always on creating positive, empowering experiences.
What truly sets Mel apart is her lifelong passion for horses and her ability to use that connection to help others build confidence, resilience, trust, and emotional wellbeing. With experience spanning equine-assisted services, disability support, aged care, dementia care, hospitality leadership, and community services, she brings a unique perspective that helps participants feel safe, supported, and capable of achieving their goals. Warm, approachable, and deeply committed to person-centred care, Mel is passionate about helping individuals discover their strengths—both in and out of the saddle.

Registered Nurse• Equine-Assisted Therapy Practitioner •
As a Registered Nurse, Sarah has extensive experience supporting people with a wide range of physical, mental health, behavioural, and complex medical needs. Her background includes medication management, health assessments, chronic disease management, clinical monitoring, wound care, and recognising changes in health that may impact a person's wellbeing and independence. Sarah has worked closely with individuals and families to provide holistic, person-centred care while supporting daily living, skill development, community participation, and the achievement of personal goals.
She is passionate about building genuine connections with people and always strive to provide compassionate, supportive care that promotes confidence, wellbeing, and independence. She enjoys helping individuals overcome challenges and achieve meaningful outcomes, and is always willing to go the extra mile if I can help.
Outside of nursing, her greatest passions are my family, children, and horses. She have owned and ridden horses my entire life and have competed extensively in showing and dressage. Sarah loves working with both people and animals and find great reward in helping others build confidence, develop new skills, and succeed in their own goals and aspirations.

Equine-Assisted Learning Practitioner • Support Worker
"Kiki" as she is affectionally known has a background in psychological science and extensive experience across the disability and mental health sectors. She brings a warm, compassionate and person centred approach to equine-assisted learning. She creates a calm, supportive space to make you feel safe and empowered.
Her approach is genuine, intuitive, and grounded with a focus on building confidence, connection and emotional wellbeing with horses.
As a passionate animal lover and life long equestrian she understands the unique impact horses can have in helping people regulate and connect.
She is dedicated to create engaging and positive experiences that help participants grow in confidence while feeling supported every step of the way.

Administration • Support Worker
A favourite amongst clients of all ages, Regan has a natural ability to make people feel welcomed, heard, and supported. Whether she's helping navigate enquiries, coordinating services, or providing practical assistance, she is passionate about ensuring every client has a positive experience with Sirian Star.
Outside of work, Regan is a proud mum, a self-confessed geek, and someone who genuinely loves connecting with people. You'll often find her enjoying a good book (when she can find the time!), listening to music, collecting POP Vinyls and memorabilia, watching horror and comedy movies, exploring museums, spending time in nature, or discovering new experiences alongside family and friends.
What makes Regan truly special is her belief that every person has their own story, interests, and goals. She loves learning what matters most to others and sharing in their journey.

Matt is a favourite amongst many of our younger participants, thanks to his easy-going nature, genuine personality, and ability to connect through shared interests. A passionate gamer, Pokémon card collector, concert-goer, and outdoor enthusiast, Matt has a knack for making participants feel comfortable, understood, and supported from day one.
Holding a Certificate IV in Mental Health and Certificate IV in Disability, Matt combines professional knowledge with a relatable approach that helps build confidence, independence, social connections, and community participation. Whether it's exploring new interests, achieving NDIS goals, or simply having someone who understands their world, Matt is passionate about creating positive experiences and helping participants reach their full potential. 🎮⭐🃏🎵
