Weather Policy

At Hooves of Hope, the safety and well-being of our clients, horses and staff are our top priority. In the event of extreme heat, we follow a policy based on the forecast provided by the Bureau of Meteorology.

1. Cancellation Criteria
If the predicted temperature for the following day is over 35°C as reported by the Bureau of Meteorology during the 6:00 PM news update the night before, all services and sessions will be cancelled for that day. This includes equine-assisted therapy, workshops, and horse related group activities.

2. Notification
Participants will be notified of cancellations as soon as possible, no later than 7:00 PM the evening before the scheduled session. Depending on the contact details provided, notifications will be sent via phone (text) or email.

3. Rescheduling
Cancellations due to hot weather will be rescheduled at the earliest available opportunity. We will work with participants to find suitable alternative dates. 

4. Health and Safety
We take these precautions to ensure the safety of both our clients and horses in extreme heat conditions. We appreciate your understanding and cooperation.
